Distribution Amplifier

You might be on a border of reception, since your HDHR has either 2 or 4 tuners, the incoming signal is split that many times, so you'll either get half of the original signal from the amplifier, (2 tuners), or 1/8th the signal, (4 way split). About the only other thing you could do is install a 1 port distribution amplifier](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001FY0B90/), and that would get you a 15dB gain.

I have lots of experience with this I would say most likely it is the amp.

Need some info and I can probably diagnose it. How many TV's connected? Is the amp you have an amplified splitter? Meaning is the splitter built into the amp?

If not, what kind of splitter is hooked up after the amp? How many ports?

Edit- did not see the link in your op. Most likely that thing is bad. Not a very quality amp.
