But anyway, we are both correct. Family does own the copyright, but not the family of Che, instead it is the photographers daughter, not the photographer. I saw the story a couple years back and mis-remembered it. Couple of interesting things about it.. when the photo was taken, Cuba didnt recognize copyright, so it wasnt until they joined the WTO that anyone could claim it, and it ended up with the photographers daughter. There is also a book about the photograph that traces its history and significance.
