Front light is a Convoy S2 slipped into a piece of inner tube to protect it from banging against the handlebars, then attached to the handlebars with a broccoli elastic. (I'll replace the inner tube and elastic with one of these silicone straps at some point.)

Rear light is a Nightcore HC50, with the headband replaced with a velcro cable tie that wraps around the seat post.

I have these bands to attach any old 18650 tube light to the handlebars. I think it's a great product that is perfectly suitable for light to moderate mtb use, but you aren't going to get 1200 lm for 2 hours unless you use two at the same time.

One of these years I'm going to finally bleed the brakes on my dusty mtb and get back out on the trail...

I use this mount from Amazon, and a Fenix E21 Light to light up the road. Its a nice light, advertised at 170 lumens (its the current version and Amazon shipped it, the text for the product is out of date) and actually puts out 170 lumens. It has a nice throw, but is a little spotty (would prefer some of the light spilled more) and it runs on AA batteries.

I have ordered some of these straps to try out.

If you have had a problem breaking straps I would give a better mount a try, like this mount from Fenix.
