Haha https://www.amazon.com/Cigar-Oasis-Caliber-Digital-Hygrometer/dp/B00JXOKS2E/ref=mp_s_a_1_11?keywords=hygrometer+gold&qid=1571710783&sr=8-11 this is the one i use for the buckets. Dont forget your stacking more weight on the bottom buds so when you first throw them in there you have to either flip or roll the bucket so they dont get any flat parts or mold. Especially during the first few days.

The one pictured is very much digital and is sitting at 64% I've been in and out of the humidor all day adjusting cigars smoking

This is the one sitting in the box

Analog hygrometers are notoriously shit. A lot of people use the Caliber IV, which comes in a flat and circular version, as it's very accurate and reliable. Personally, I use the SensorPush, as it allows me to check the temp & RH without opening my humidor, via my phone.

First humidor for myself and at that price point decided to give it a try. It has been great, seals very well and I have had no complaints. I did buy another Hygrometer. Link

Funny, I have the exact same hygrometer and thought I had a serious humidity problem in my tupperdor about a month ago. I ended up putting 5 65% Boveda packs in it and it still read low, which led me to become suspicious since the cigars out of it were smoking great.

Checked it using the salt test a few weeks ago and sure enough, it was reading way low. Battery replacement didn't help. After recalibration, it worked well, but now I noticed it is off again. I think these must go bad after a while. Other Amazon reviews say the same thing.

I did some browsing and have settled on this one for my next hygrometer:

The reviews on it seem strong. Haven't ordered it yet since I've used Boveda packs for years and pretty much trust them to the point that I probably don't need to use a hygrometer anymore, so urgency is low.

Good luck with whatever you end up doing!

is your arduino attached humidity sensor reading consistent humidity levels?

The glass top humidors are notoriously "leaky" and most on the sub will seal it with unscented silicon aquarium sealant or something similar.

The Caliber IV hygrometer is one of the better ones, but it's not round

As for a 43mm replacement, Google results really only show analog gold faced ones similar if not the same as the ones that come with those glass top humidors. If you really want something you could do the 68~mm Caliber 4R digital/ana hygrometer BUT it's larger than your hole and you'll have to do some woodwork to make it fit.

Hi,

The pots I use are IKEA Bygel organizer containers. Can't find a listing on their website, some I'm not sure if they are discontinued. I do have 4 extra in white that I could possibly send to you at cost depending where you live. If you're interested in that just PM me.

The hygrometer/thermometer I use is this one. It is designed for use in humidors and is deadly accurate. I have calibrated it a few times and it's right on the money. Humidity fluctuates between 40-60.

Lastly, that horizontal bamboo stake at the top was just added. I will probably take it out. She always basks on the large vine in the back.

Thanks for your feedback.

Sorry, no idea, the one I got had a magnet and I glued that to a small piece of cedar. That holds it roughly in place, it's not perfect but it works.
