I personally own a pair and I love them. Since they're both made by Clark's, very similar in style to CDBS and lower in price, I think they're a perfect match for your brother.

Looking to get some Clarks Men's Bushacre 2 (prefer them over the CDB) and was looking at them on amazon. The beeswax on there looks like peanut butter but I've heard people say that the ones they receive look more like the beeswax CDBs. Has anybody bought them and can confirm, and whats a good way to dress casual with the boots?

Seems like you've gotten a good deal of help with the first pair but I might be able to help you with pair #2. Vans actually makes a chukka style sneaker which isn't exactly like what you linked but has the same sneaker/boot hybrid silhouette. Also you could always try the MFA basic staple CDB or the slightly cheaper Bushacres. If none of these work for you do a search for "Chukka Sneakers" and spend some time shopping around/ doing research.
I was looking at Clarks Bushacres on Amazon, and the beeswax leather does not look like it does on CDBs (Here are the Bushacres, and here are CDBs).
Is this a mistake from Amazon, or is the beeswax leather actually different on these two boots?
