75$ right now if you prefer red switches, also you should specify where you live so we can count in the shipping.
Then I reccomend the next gen exterminator, seen here https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/wiki/builds . Also I would like to reccomend throwing in a 100 bucks for a decent mechanical keyboard (I reccomend quickfire TK red switches, only my preference tho http://www.amazon.com/CM-Storm-QuickFire-TK-Mechanical/dp/B00AOIRCI6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451787358&sr=8-1&keywords=tk+quickfire ), and get a qck + gaming mouse pad, 10 bucks for something that will make your mouse feel sooo much smoother
For Excel work, a full numpad is crucial. So I got an 80%:

I still don't understand the whole "tenkeyless" thing - why have inverted T arrow keys that take up the same amount of space as a full numpad? A full numpad is far more useful - especially for gaming.
I try to make things easier for people who are looking to emulate someone else's computer setup by finding the product links on Amazon. Let me know if I am helpful:

This is just my personal experience but I have never had good luck with Razer products (other people have however), and I do not like third party programs needed to get the most out of my equipment but that means you usually will not get any keyboards or mouses with extra macro buttons or anything else.
I use a Zowie mouse http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00S9SH7V0?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00
and a Cooler Master keyboard http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AOIRCI6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00
Neither require third party programs but are very basic with features.
Spend $10 more and get it brand new here. At that price point, there are several boards you can get with Cherry MX Red switches for brand new.
I've had Cherry Reds, Blues, and Kailh blue switches.
Order of recommendation
Cherry blues for the feel and durability.
Kailh blues for the sound.
I cannot recommend Cherry Reds. I HATED them. I had a Quickfire TK and while i loved the layout, I hated the Red switches. They're too soft and if you're heavy handed they will press very easily on accident. I spilled a Gin and Tonic on it the other night. Like 5 nights ago. I haven't reassembled it yet to see if it works after putting it in a dehumidifier.
My first mechanical was a Tt eSPORTS Poseidon Z but the spacebar switch stopped working so I'm in the process of desoldering all the switches on it. I'm going to get some Blacks or maybe Browns for it. Just something I haven't tried yet.
> but I don't feel like spending 200$+ on a keyboard
You can get a quality mech for 100.

I've had it for over 2 years. Lots of abuse too. My Razer didn't last 6 months.
Yeah that's the varmilo va87m. The one suggested to you is just a special edition, the normal one is right [here] (https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1668). The layout is a tkl (ten keyless). It's a solid board!
Edit: lots of people enjoy [quickfire tk] (https://www.amazon.ca/Cooler-Master-Storm-QuickFire-Mechanical/dp/B00AOIRCI6) for their tkl board but your choice.
Great keyboard for the price.
Here is the correct link - https://www.amazon.com/CM-Storm-QuickFire-TK-Mechanical/dp/B00AOIRCI6
I recently just bought my first mechanical keyboard as well. After doing some research here and there I found the CM Storm Quickfire TK to be the best bang for my buck (opting for the Cherry Reds). It is a little more, $80, but just look at it as a long term investment :)
here's a linky-link to see it: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AOIRCI6/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You could try this one I don't know how most people feel about it but I love the size and its fun to type on.
The CPU OC won't really affect your gaming performance much (most games aren't too CPU intensive). It'll just improve the general performance of your computer and other software, such as in video editing. If you plan to use other software like that (which I assume you will since you have an i7), I'd recommend OCing. In order to do that, you'd need a z97 board AND a CPU cooler.
A good mechanical keyboard that is under $100 is this . If you don't want a mechanical keyboard, you can find $30 Logitech or Microsoft keyboards no problem.
You can pick just about any monitor in the $150 range and it will perform well.
do you want a mechanical keyboard? If so, http://www.amazon.com/CM-Storm-QuickFire-TK-Mechanical/dp/B00AOIRCI6/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1398127849&sr=1-2&keywords=Mechanical+Keyboard
Don't buy that. The only Razer product I'd say is good for its price is the Deathadder mouse. If you get anything, get that.
For keyboards, look at the cheaper and equally good CM Storm Quickfire. That's just one example of the line. There's a lot more variety in layouts and switch types with other models. If you don't care much for researching switch types, just look at Corsair keyboards. They're build well and there's little hassle involved in choosing one. Best of luck!
Noise really depends on whether you bottom out or not. Bottoming out does create a lot more noise. O-rings can help dampen the noise.
The Rosewill RK-9100 is at $80, but it also has Cherry MX Blues.
The Quickfire TK with Cherry MX Reds can be found for $81 after shipping on the Amazon marketplace.
I'm looking for the same thing.
I tried CM Quickfire TK, but didn't like the way they handle Fn Keys and the way they merged the numpad and the middle keys thing. You might not like the fact that their MX Brown model is backlit white.
There is also Corsair K65 RGB but it's annoyingly expensive. I'd love a K65 with basic backlight instead of the complicated thing they use instead.
Edit: what about this: Thermaltake Poseidon ZX? Khail instead of Cherry MX, but that might do. Now I need to find a UK version...
Cherry MX Red or Black switches are considered by most to be the best mechanical switch for gaming. There are a few that have RGB backlighting, but they're expensive:

CM Storm Quickfire Tenkey backlit w/ mx reds $79.24
If you want the numpad with decent portability you can look into this keyboard from Cooler Master. I was able to grab it when it went on sale for $60.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AOIRCI6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_guvvzbSMVS95C
Well it has Kaihua Kailh switches not Cherry MX, it also advertises 16 million colors but can currently only do like... 16 or something, also the backlight is all or none, no different colors per key.
If you would like a TKL, cheap, with backlight I would suggest the CM Storm Quickfire TK
For a little bit more you can get the backlit version of the Quickfire Rapid the Quickfire Rapid-i
Another option would be a Ducky Shine 3 TKL or Ducky Zero Shine TKL.
Ok, so with a budget of your size, your options my be a little limited.
You still have a few options.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AOIRCI6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
im getting the cherry mx red version for christmas. the keyboard layout will take a little bit to get used to but it beats paying $150 for their quickfire rapid-i. same features and it has an integrated keypad for about $70 less.
I just saw that you wrote that you don't have space for a full version keyboard, since all of them are around 45cm wide. Just buy the Quickfire TK then. Red switches with red backlighting and for a decent price.
Any of the above options I mentioned would be better.
Alternately, you could probably find a good used board from someone on here or possibly over at r/hardwareswap. mechanicalkeyboards.com also offers used/returned boards not much more expensive than this.
Edit: Here's an example. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AOIRCI6/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00AOIRCI6&linkCode=as2&tag=techs096-20&linkId=5SQDUUHHXT7P6I3D

CM Storm QuickFire TK Used for about a year but there's nothing wrong with it.
I'm thinking on return it if i dont like it and buy this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AOIRCI6/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
The lack of back lighting is the only reason I'm not returning my old keyboard and jumping on this. I currently have this one that I got from amazon a month ago
I paid $86.
what is the difference between the one you recommended and CM Storm Quickfire TK
I got the smaller one ("compact"). I didn't realize there was a full-sized one too when I ordered it, otherwise I'd have probably gotten that one. The compact one isn't too bad; just the numpad and arrow keys are shared and toggled by num lock. The smaller size fits better on my desk though since I got a bigger mousepad to avoid mouse drift problems.
Warehouse deals has one if you cant find one here.
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/offer-listing/B00AOIRCI6/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used
Unfortunately I couldn't find a good full sized board with backlighting under $100. There is this, which is just about $100, however it is kind of a full size tenkeyless hybrid.
I don't know much about gigabyte keyboards, hopefully someone else does. Honestly, I can't find a keyboard that is less than $100, has cherry red's, is full size, and has a blue blacklight.
http://www.amazon.com/CM-Storm-QuickFire-TK-Mechanical/dp/B00AOIRCI6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381790404&sr=8-1&keywords=cm+storm+quickfire+tk+red This is a good keyboard for $80 if you're okay with the red backlight and the arrow keys.
There is also a white backlit version for 90.
The razer switches arent that good compared to mx,all that "tactile switches" razer is selling you is bullshit imo, their keyboard aren't that good, the k70 are close to your price range but they have mx speeds, the speeds have less of travel distance compared to the others, you can also look at the logitech g710 allthough that one has mx browns, if you really want mx reds try the CM storm Quickfire. Also here is a youtube video to help you determine the switches you want
http://www.amazon.com/CM-Storm-QuickFire-TK-Mechanical/dp/B00AOIRCI6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1377754035&sr=8-2&keywords=coolermaster+quickfire+tk
Less money, better keyboard.
It's compact gives you a functional numpad, and arrow keys plus detachable cable so it will be easy to replace if it fails. They have a red key switch one for $10 less too.
So are these two: Here And Here The same thing only one version is compact?
http://www.amazon.com/CM-Storm-QuickFire-TK-Mechanical/dp/B00AOIRCI6/
http://www.amazon.com/Storm-QuickFire-Rapid-Tenkeyless-Mechanical/dp/B007VDKLLM/
both of these are within your budget and have variants with mx brown switches
Right, I have a TLK at home. I guess i was saying i don't want a TK like this because i use the delete key and the number pad a lot, and i dont want to hold a modifier to use i either one.
The number pad is a nice idea, but I am also not trying to spend $150 on a new KB and num pad. I like the idea though if i had the cash to do it.
CM Storm Quickfire TK - It is mechanical, it sounds great and is compact if you don't have a lot of space on your desk (like me).
Steelseries Sensei Raw Rubberised - it is pretty cheap and can be used by left and right hand users.#

It pretty much looks exactly like this https://www.amazon.com/CM-Storm-QuickFire-TK-Mechanical/dp/B00AOIRCI6
It hasn't gone through much wear and tear (I just wasn't a fan of the red switches).
Fully Functional except for the pegs that make it stand up at an angle. The peg went missing because it was shipped loose.

Depends on what you want it to do. You have a pretty decent 1080p 60fps setup. If you're okay with that, I'd definitely recommend an SSD. Maybe a mechanical keyboard if you don't already have one.
Maybe this and this?
Quickfire TK, can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AOIRCI6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_76LFzb1G57P6J
Aren't blue switches the super loud kind? I don't want to get too crazy with my clicky-clack.
This is the third keyboard you were talking about, right? Do you think this is a good keyboard? I like the price for it.
> can't find a model that has the numpad on it that is also MX Red Switches. Can someone help me out with that?
Not the same price, but is this the keyboard you are looking for?
I own this with Brown switches and really love it for it's price. Got it on a daily for ~60$ iirc.
edit - Here is the product page
I'm looking to get my first keyboard and so far I think I would like the blue switch keyboards.
The one I really want is the CM Quickfire TK w/ Cherry MX BLUE keys, but it seems to be out of stock every where.
Does anybody have one they're looking to sell or know where I can find one?
I really want the Stealth version, but the only one I could find was priced at $230. Is that a reasonable price for it?

MKB:
If you want a minimalistic setup with a smaller keyboard. I can vouch for this keyboard and its been amazing.

If you want a bigger keyboard:
http://www.amazon.com/CM-Storm-QuickFire-Ultimate-Mechanical/dp/B00EJ8CKIY/
There are also other options but I am most failiar with the CoolerMaster Brand and have experience with there keyboards. You can also get something like this if you do not want backlighting.
http://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-Mechanical-Keyboard-RK-9000V2-RE/dp/B00UBQZPXK/
To address the number pad/macro pad element of this search, I would suggest a 75-100% keyboard as this range tends to have a number pad. If a macro pad is a must, you could take a look at software that could trigger macros from your number pad (kind of like an IME or something of the sort).
If you're playing OSU and FPS the most, I would recommend a keyboard with MX Red switches. Although they aren't the best things on earth to code on, nor are they the best to play MMORPGs on, I can speak from experience when I say that they certainly get the job done for long typing hours due to their light actuation force and are great for gaming as that's what they were designed for. In fact, this entire comment was typed on them and I found it to be quite enjoyable. You learn the actuation force pretty well with time so bottoming them out all the time really isn't an issue. However, most boards have MX Brown and MX Blue variants, so if you find that you enjoy one switch more than the other there's always a little room for adjustment prior to purchase.
With these constraints being taken into consideration, a search or two returned recommendations along the lines of:
CM Storm QuickFire TK
Leopold FC900R Black PBT Mechanical Keyboard
Red Scarf III Ver. A (Please note that this is a DIY board and will not be available for a considerable amount of time)
CM Storm QuickFire XT
And Topres, if that's your thing and you have the money to spare:
Topre Realforce RGB Premium Mechanical Keyboard
EDIT: Formatting
I was looking in to the CM Storm QuickFire TK but I had a question about the tenkeypad/arrow keys combo.
If I want to use the arrow keys will I have to hold down the function key, or just turn off NumLock? I know the quickfire rapid has a set of dedicated arrow keys and is in a similar price range, but it's missing the backlight, which I like very much.
It fits my desk since a part of my KB sits on my Qck+. KB is ok for the money you get. Build quality isn't that bad, but only one color option (brown is white, red switches - red backlight, blue switches - blue). For me, it is the best budget mech keyboard with cherry switches apart from RGB cheap Kailh. Only issue I have personally is, if my pc crashes, keyboard doesn't get detected before windows starts up (can't enter BIOS). All in all, for the money you pay, it's fine.
If I had to choose I'd buy Corsair Strafe or Steelseries Apex M500, HyperX Alloy budget wise. Cheap, cherry mx but downside one color option. Razer KB is way overpriced. If I had more money, I'd personally get Asus Claymore Core M802 (TK without numpad).

If you are from US

There is 45% off on Cherry MX red Quickfire 55$
No, because it's a good board and people don't sell it after realizing that it was a poor decision like they do with the K70...
EDIT: Oh, also, there are CM boards <$100.
Cooler Master Storm Quickfire TK - TK size but has the keypad which doubles as arrow keys/page keys. Cherry MX Reds. It's in great shape, I used white PBT keycaps so I can put back the originals for you, I stored them in a ziplock.
https://www.amazon.com/CM-Storm-QuickFire-TK-Mechanical/dp/B00AOIRCI6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1523585902&sr=8-3&keywords=cooler+master+quickfire+tk

That's 70 USD which should equate to 62.50 EUR.
i recommend Cm Storm Quickfire TK, comes in reds blues browns (maybe others). good quality, back-lit for around ~$100
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AOIRCI6/ref=twister_B01CJNHEEK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Well just off the top of my head CM Storm QuickFire Rapid is pretty good, if you need the num pad or want help choosing the key types I can assist further. I know it's labled gaming but it's price is reasonable and really there aren't any "gaming" features aside from the wasd keys included in a different color.
Edit: the tenkey version
Cooler Master Storm Quickfire is on sale on Amazon right now. It's mechanical, Cherry MX Red switches & it is half the price of the Logitech.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AOIRCI6/?tag=pcpapi-20
In general most mechanicals use switches (the little thing under the keycaps that activates the button) from big switch makers. Cherry is the most popular one and if you get a keyboard with cherry MX switches you will know that at least those will have a good build to them.
This is a board with Brown Cherry Switches. They have a bit of a tactile bump tot them when pressed and are overall very pleasant to type on.
Linear Red Cherry switches on this board. Red is often preferred for gaming because it's light to press and you can double tap easily because of how the activation works on this switch.
CHERRY MX BLUE! The switch that people think about when you say mechanical keyboard. It has a very audible click and it's almost bordering on a typewriter feel when you type on it. Some people hate it. Some love it. This board is available in 4 different configurations if blue isn't your switch.
There are of course other boards but those are nice starter ones. A lot of people here like the CM ones as you will see. Corsair is also starting to blow up. Expect a lot of pictures of the Corsair RGB when it comes out. The hype is off the hook at the moment. Kind of.
If it was up to me I'd buy a Ducky keyboard but those are a bit more expensive.
I did find a super nice one that is just inside your budget.
It's a brown switched TKL (no numpad) from ducky. It has really cool illumination settings and is overall high in build quality. It's out of stock at NCIX but you should be able to get it at other places if you look around a bit. I would do it for you but my collar bone is broken and I don't have the energy to do that right now.
Good luck with the hunt, let me know how it goes!
I'm pretty new to mechanical keyboards so I'm not sure what switches I want. I don't mind super clicky or super quiet. My first gaming keyboard was a Roccat ISKU which crapped out within 4 months of owning it.
Anyways, my budget is AT MOST $110.
I've been debating between the Razer Blackwidow and CM Storm Quickfire TK. I've read a bunch of reviews of each and heard a mixture of results, mainly about the BW. A lot of people say that it's a great keyboard and is durable as hell, while others say that theirs has crapped itself or the switches have broken within weeks. I'm not a Razer fanboy but I do love my Deathadder. If the BW really does suck, then I'll probably go with the QuickFire TK.
Mainly I just want something with backlit keys that's durable, reliable, and looks good. Switches don't really matter to me. Any recommendations for other keyboards that fit these requirements?
Logitech G700 Wireless Mouse, and CM Storm Quickfire TK Mechanical Keyboard.
I also have a Logitech G13 gamepad, Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS X, a wireless Xbox 360 controller, and my two modified Madcatz Fightsticks.
Also, I use a Mionix Sargas 900 extra large mousepad.
The one I have doesn't have red backlighting available, but the Cherry MX Red version of the Quickfire TK does. There are also different color LEDs available for the other colors if you want one of those, too.
Can't comment on the mousepad, but it sounds like my keyboard/mouse setup may be what you're looking for. I use a Perixx MX2000II (the software lets you change it red) and a CM Storm Quickfire TK with cherry mx red switches. The keyboard makes the combo over your budget, but if you can get it on sale, it should work out alright, plus you're getting a sweet mechanical keyboard. I've got them both setup here if you want to see them.
It depends on your budget, and what you consider to be overpriced.
It also depends if you need a numpad, as there are cheaper tenkeyless mech. keyboards that fit your needs, such as CM Storm QuickFire TK.
Here is one for $68.
What do you think of this one?

Well I think you did right thing by avoiding razer mechanical keyboards. Their f key layout is atrocious and adds more travel time if you use camera hotkeys for starcraft. The quality of their boards are lacking as well. At times my spacebar or shift key would randomly get stuck during a game. Fuck razer.
Look into cm storm lineup as well, which are highly regarded for their price and quality.

Mechanical keyboard. Cherry MX red is kinda the most popular these days. There are a lot different types. Cherry red is a good entry level.
Currently this keyboard is going for $75 new on Amazon, so you may have trouble selling it for $65
CM Storm QuickFire TK w/ Cherry Red for around $60:
