Prices will only go up. You will not see anything close to $100 for a nice Sunday afternoon post labor day. People want warm outside games, and if the forecast is anything like a normal tri state Sunday afternoon it should jump each day it gets closer.

FUCK do I love brats and beer and throwing the football at metlife.

PS: If you were thinking of getting yourself a gift, check out this bad boy: https://www.amazon.com/Coleman-9949-750-Road-Trip-Grill/dp/B0009V1BDA/ perfect for tailgating. I have one and it is just plain awesome.

I'm not a spammer, I just really like my grill. Fuck the Eagles.

A few of my friends have one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Coleman-9949-750-Road-Trip-Grill/dp/B0009V1BDA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1462294498&sr=8-1&keywords=coleman+portable+grill

And we use one or two every time we tailgate (range of 10 to 20 people). It is super portable and works really well.

My friend bought this portable grill a few years back, and it has been the workhorse of every Coachella/camping trip/outdoor activity since. Some people might like a more compact setup, but we typically have ~10 people in tow. This gets big meals done in a snap, plus it fires up quickly and is super easy to clean (I sound like Billy Mays).

There's a case that can be purchased separately (that I would recommend), but it's probably not absolutely necessary. All in all, it's probably a $200 investment ($150 without the case) that will last for years.

We originally bought this for tailgating but it's great for car camping too. We got the griddle top as well so we can use the grill on one side and griddle on the other. It's a little heavy as the grill plates/griddle as cast iron but it folds up nicely and has wheels for easy transport.

The classic Coleman stove top that you just use on a table top works well too. I frequently went camping with my girlfriends and one of them had one that we used every trip for 5+ years and as far as I know it's still going strong for her (I moved away so I don't get to camping with her much anymore :( ).

I have this one. I love that I don't have to find a table to set it on and it wheels around easy. I can also replace the grill grate with a griddle.

you should consider the Coleman Roadtrip. Very portable gas grill that folds down and is easy to wheel around. http://www.amazon.com/Coleman-9949-750-Road-Trip-Grill/dp/B0009V1BDA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451109908&sr=8-1&keywords=coleman+roadtrip+grill Great price also.

Weber

  • Reliability is terrible. Yes, you read that correctly. The regulators they put on the WeberQs absolutely suck. I replaced it twice. When the third one died I threw the grill away.

  • Temperature. Even when it did work, the burner on the Weber just wasn't big enough to really get the grill good and hot and it absolutely could not keep up if you put a lot of food on the grill.

  • Built like a tank. Normally, the heavy construction would be seen as a plus, but in this case it made a "portable" grill a lot heavier than it really needed to be.

    Coleman

  • Reliability. So far no problems.

  • Temperature. Heats up FAST and can stay hot no matter how much food I put on it.

  • Not built like a tank. Probably not BIFL, but I'm OK with that because it's a lot easier to load up in the truck. Nice part is that it comes with an integral wheel set so the only actual lift involved is getting it into the truck. I figure it'll last a decade.

  • Two piece grate. The grate (and some other components) come apart very easily so you can put them in your dishwasher. I wouldn't normally do this with a grill but since it's portable you'll be moving it around and such and... Well, not having some nasty greasy thing moving in/out of the truck is nice. I just disassemble the grill, put the parts in the dishwasher, and voila!

  • Accessories! One thing that is really cool is that you can buy replacement "grates" for the grill that serve other functions. One of them turns the grill into a normal camp stove (VERY COOL). Another gives you an integral griddle. The versatility of the system is very nice for a camp set up.

edit: The Road Trip Grill (not my exact model, but close enough). The Griddle Accessory. The Stove Accesory.

Coleman Roadtrip. Uses propane and we take it camping for grilling and as a griddle. But I usually just end up cooking over the campfire at night at least.

I don't know if it's relevant (delete if you want), but when I think CFB I think tailgating. My wife got me an awesome tailgate grill 2 or 3 Christmases ago and it's on sale for prime day.

Got a coleman roadtrip recently as a gift. I have a griddle and a stove grate as well as the included grill grates. Pretty slick and an upgrade from the little propane grill that I previously had.
