Yeah, 80-90 was "normal" for me until I also popped a laptop cooler under the thing (I got this one, as it's not stupidly disproportionate to the size of the laptop):

Run hwmonitor for starters, and post a screenshot in here. Based a tear down guide for your laptop, you should purchase a cooling pad like this https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-NotePal-PLUS-Performance/dp/B00CPZJP7M/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1501825771&sr=8-6&keywords=coolermaster+laptop+cooling+pad
And postion the two fans under the two vents on the laptop.

Definitely get a cooling pad, I have this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00CPZJP7M?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00 the fans can be moved around underneath to get at the hot spots

Is it getting hot in very specific places? Maybe just the cpu or gpu areas? I would look for a cooling pad that lets you move the fans to wherever you want so you can put one directly in the hottest areas. Maybe something like this: https://www.amazon.ca/Cooler-Master-NotePal-PLUS-Performance/dp/B00CPZJP7M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1497319839&sr=8-1&keywords=laptop+cooling+pad+movable

I bought this one for the Lenovo Y540. You can choose where to place the fans, so it can be more effective (if placed properly) than normal cooling pads. Some people have also swapped the fans that came with it with Noctua fans lol.

When I don't have access to my gaming rig I play on my ultrabook that I use for university. It only has a powersaving i5 and integrated intel graphic + 4GB RAM. The game works suprisingly well on all low/disabled and 1280x720 (instead of 1080p) at around 20-30fps. It is playable, but obviously far from ideal, but I can bear it for a day of two when I'm away from my rig. The issue with this is the same as yours: the temperatures. The ultrabook only has very small fans that don't really do anything at all. Using a cooling pad with some extra fans has worked fine, so you might want to check out some of those. They're not really expensive. The one I have costs 30$ and works very well. You can of course buy some of the more higher end solutions for this, but I don't know how much better they actually are.
