Corsair Vengeance K60 meets some of those specs and is listed there for $70 (with mail in rebate). Cherry Reds (quiet, linear feedback, light force required for press)

85 on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-Performance-Mechanical-CH-9000004-NA/dp/B005QUQP80

Cooler Master CM Storm Quickfire. About $65. Dirt simple, no special features. No numpad. Good build quality, excessive branding turns some people off. Cherry Blues. (clicky feel in a bump to the feedback as well as a audible click, medium force required for a press, absolute joy to type with)

Backlight mechanicals are out of your price range for the most part, unfortunately. You might want to look at the Razer Blackwidow but it has a pretty bad reputation around here, so make sure you research thoroughly before deciding.

They also have a "MMO" focused version with Cherry Reds as well. I have yet to buy a mechanical keyboard, but I really want this one. A friend of mine has the DAS with Cherry blues and while they feel amazing, I can imagine the clicking getting old pretty quick.

Amazon.com link for those with Prime. No extra shipping like at Newegg either.

Personally I'd never spend that much on a keyboard that isn't a mechanical. Something like this would be my suggestion, but /r/MechanicalKeyboards would be able to offer more suggestions.

Corsair k60 keyboard and R.A.T.7

Need to get a new headset still.

I have a corsair k60 http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005QUQP80

I really enjoy it and find it nice to type on

They aren't very popular but the Corsair M60 (and matching keyboard K60, along with the M/K 90 for MMOs) is an awesome mouse... I love it. Very comfortable, solid construction, and visually appealing.

I also used to use a Logitech G9, another great mouse but a bit small for my hands.

Any Windows keyboard should be compatible with mac (i'm typing on a dell one now and my num pad works: 4+9/*78+-). Separate media keys should also work (as on mine), so something like the Corsair K60 might be up your alley (though it's not fully mechanical): http://www.amazon.com/-/dp/B005QUQP80/

You could then also replace the windows keys with command ones if you're crazy, it looks like WASD's keys are compatible with the K60: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=103688

You can also remap the windows/alt keys to be option/command in the Preferences.app, and switch around the buttons so they make mac sense.

For media keys like in my design, third party software can be used, as talked about here: http://www.clingmarks.com/custom-mac-mechanical-keyboard-lets-have-some-fun/893

I currently use a K60 Keyboard from Corsair and G500 from Logitech and absolutely love them! Right now I think you can get these from amazon for $150 total. Although I love this keyboard I would recommend the new K70 which is only $30 more

Corsair K70 -$130

Corsair K60 - $100

Logitech G500 - $50

I'm kind of confused. You are spending $2100+ on a computer, yet you want inexpensive suggestions for the two peripherals you will have the most contact with? You should look for a quality keyboard and mouse combo considering you will be using both frequently.

Personally, I would suggest the Corsair Vengeance K60 for your keyboard and the Logitech G500 for the mouse. I use both and love them. Of course you can go cheaper, but why? Spend a little bit extra and get something that you'll love.

I was going to get it for my mom, but apparently there are issues with the solder holding the mini usb. It's not very well done, and comes apart very easily according to the reviews. I'm probably going to go with this one . It's the cheapest one, it seems to be the best bang for buck.

My buddy has this, which I've used a few times. From using a Filco blue switch keyboard the red switch is incredibly light to touch with a very responsive pick up. Do a lot of research into which kind of switch you want before you buy, trust me I've gone through 3 mechanical keyboards in the last 10 months to figure out which switch I liked most, because I didn't research before hand.

Just for the love of god, don't buy Razer D:!

if you want a good mech keyboard try the Corsair K60

Don't skimp about your keyboard. At $40 you're looking at plastic everything. You use it constantly and you want it to last you. I personally use a Corsair K60 ($90 on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-Performance-Mechanical-CH-9000004-NA/dp/B005QUQP80/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1375374553&sr=8-1&keywords=corsair+keyboard) and can't imagine going without it.
