Ok! Well I am a 24 yr old female with combination skin. I am normal on my cheeks but oily in my T zone. I've dealt with severe cystic acne my entire life but after seeing a dermatologist and getting chemical peels and changing my diet, it went down drastically. Now I am just left with hormonal acne on my chin and some discoloration on my skin. So here is my brand new routine I started a week ago! Many of these products have made people break out but it's just about finding what's right for you :)

Morning

Use [low ph Cleanser] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016NRXO06/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

[Toner] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LUU42NU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

[vitamin C serum] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G2TQNZ4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

[Moisturize] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AF63QQE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&th=1)

[sunscreen] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SM99KWU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

Nighttime

Oil cleanse with [this] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000V2FBAQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

same cleanser

same toner

A [random sheet mask] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BAM7F8C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

same vitamin C serum (under eyes only)

[collagen cream] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016AEC63I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

[overnight moisturizer] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018IX7N2S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

I've also been taking [primrose oil supplements] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NH5AK2S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) but it's only been a week and I'm not sure if it's doing anything yet. I bought some other stuff too but since this worked for me, I am sticking with it and might change it up next week and add more things in.

You need to add more moisture into your skin. Exfoliating dry skin just makes it even more dry and flaky. For now, I would try to work on improving the moisture barrier on your skin and then use aha to fix the flaky skin. I would recommend sleeping with a sleeping pack which is basically sleeping with a thick moisturizer. If you moisturize your skin and your skin just absorbs it and it still gets dry after a while, then it's not moisturized enough. I used to have chronic dry skin and I switched to using asian skincare products which revolved around making sure my skin was always moisturized. I also suffered from cystic acne so my skin was always peeling. I don't deal with that at all anymore and my skin is always pump and my makeup goes on smooth. I'll tell you my nighttime routine so you can get an idea.

wash face with oil cleanser

wash face with low ph cleanser

apply aha/bha toner

apply essence

apply [collagen moisturizer] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016AEC63I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

apply [this] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018IX7N2S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) sleeping pack

Hello! I just got all my products in the mail but I want to be clear about the order I will use them in at night. Any suggestions are welcome.

I'm really enjoying The Ordinary products I have! I use their Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% and it's been working well. I believe they are a Canadian company so it shouldn't be too pricey for you! There was also a really helpful guide floating around about their products if you search The Ordinary in the search bar.

I haven't tried a lot of their moisturizing products but I am using their Hyaluronic Acid + B5 to aid in my hydration (I mix with Shark Sauce then top with CosRx Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask . That CosRx product is also reasonably priced on Amazon but may be slightly over 15CAD.

I have combination skin and during the day I use Hada Labo Rohto Hadalabo Gokujun Hyaluronic Lotion Moist and Cosrx Advanced Snail cream as moisturizers.

At night I will also use the same products but if I feel I need more moisture, I will add a 3rd moisturizer: Cosrx Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask. This is a cream and definitely feels heavier and a bit tacky. I'm not a fan of it but I haven't found anything better so far...
