I work with flowers.
Crowning glory is also great for preserving blossoms and definitely worth using if you’re doing flowers well in advance of your event. Let the crowning glory completely dry before keeping arrangements in a chilled place.
You use a preservation spray that coats the flowers and prevents them from losing moisture.

Hi fellow ATL bride!! Definitely don't need to buy them the morning of. They should be fine for at least two days. If you're nervous, I really like this flower preserving spray that helps them last longer:

Also, my arrangements last longer when I let the flowers soak in water for a while before arranging them. So if your wedding is Saturday, you could buy them Thursday morning, put them in water, and then arrange them Thursday night/Friday morning.
As others have said, no refrigerator - they need humidity. Keep them cool and in a draft-free place.
I'm almost sure I got this tip from the subreddit, but my friend did all her own flowers (as in, GREW some of them, too!) for her wedding. She's kind of a badass.
This flower spray seemed to hold things together without too much wilting - we were in the sun and heat as well. We just spritzed the finished arrangements.
