Well, you did say it has a 3TB SSD (when you most likely meant HDD) but this PC would be a steal for five hundred bucks

I'm actually just about to purchase my 13" MBP this week. I'm ordering the SDD so that I can install it right as it arrives. I was thinking I would go with this 256GB Crucial M4 but I wanted to be sure it was a good choice. Also since I'm going to go with the i5 rather than the i7 I was going to upgrade the RAM to 16GB Corsair RAM. And I read this article on TRIM, but I'd be interested to hear what you have to say about it if you don't mind. Budget is $300 for the SSD, since I figure 256GB is enough with the 500GB HDD in the optibay.
EDIT: Oh! Also I'm going to need to pick this up for the HDD, correct?

I have heard that people have trouble booting to PCIe drives. I can't confirm that specifically, but if it were my system, I would avoid that option for my boot drive. 4 PCIe lanes at v3.0 (if you can find 3.0) will give you 4 GBps, that's Gigabyte, not bit. Crazy fast. Blows SATA III out of the water. So, there's the trade off I guess.
I test these at work and I have to tell you, they are the best drives we have. They squarely beat the X-25E on sequential writes at 1MB transfer size. Random performance is comparable. I would post results, but they wouldn't mean anything because I test 3-drive RAID configurations. So if you wanna drop $2400, we can talk numbers :D
I've heard great things about the Vertex3 drives from OCZ as far a performance/price ratio goes. I think they even beat the X-25E on sequential write.

1x Crucial 512 GB SSD for the system to run in the primary drive bay (I'll stick the 750gb in the 2nd drive slot for storage)
32GB of Corsair Vengeance Laptop Memory Kit 16 GB (2x8 GB) DDR3 1600MHz (it has 4 spots for ram, each at 8gb maximum.)
It has an empty 2nd drive bay and should be a beast. S6 and lightroom for batch editing.
I got it from newegg when it was still $899. I just called them and they are giving me a credit for the new price difference. Thanks newegg! :-)
I have a Macbook Pro 13" 2009, and adding "Crucial m4 512GB 2.5-Inch (9.5mm) SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Drive CT512M4SSD2" made it SO much faster. Boots in seconds. Read/write is very fast. Gave me another year of good use so far. Just waiting to upgrade after Apple announces some new products by October...

I'm assuming this drive has different garbage collection drivers, etc than the OWC. Does this change any of the information you guys gave me?
It sounds to me that I should still probably enable TRIM. I'm not extremely technical by any means but I've fiddled around with terminal commands and the like before so I'm not completely foreign to it.

They regularly share sales on SSDs, which have dramatically lowered in price over the past month. Frontpage currently has three ~120 gb SSDs for under $60, and I've seen SSDs up to ~260 gb for under $200.
If OP has the $, this might be a possibility. Crucial 512 gb SSD for $350 ($326 through warehouse deals). That should be plenty enough space to last the PS3 through the end of its life cycle.

I just noticed that you're Canadian. Here is a direct link to the Amazon.ca product link. It's a little more expensive (~$390 USD), but the drive should still serve you well if you decide to go with it.
