Amazon is price matching it on their deal of the day: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DUNLMUU

Edit: it looks like it's sold out at the $99 price, so 12AM PST is your next chance for this.

> the 850 Pro doesn't seem to be worth the extra cost.

It's not, the 850 EVO is worth it though. Expensive, but it has a right to be, pretty much the best 2.5" SSD on the market. A cheaper alternative would be this:

Oh, and the 750GB version is on your budget. If you think you need more than 500GB, that's up to you to consider:

Is this SSD worth getting? The 750gb one.

Just throwing it out there, due to sales you can now get a decent 750GB SSD for $100, an all time low aside from pricing errors. If you're in time, just pay $40 more for this and skip the HDD for now, if you ever manage to fill up 750GB then you can get extra storage later.

Cheap down the CPU cooler a bit, a 240mm AIO is more than enough for a 6700K (or even a good aircooler). Put that money towards an SSD

PS: there's a good deal on a SSD today, look here

I am in the minority, but the E460 is a great budget laptop. The E440 was cheap, but the E450 and E460 have been very solid improvements. It is 3 screws to take the bottom cover off and 0 more to replace the ram and hard drive. The hard drive just pops in.

For $805 I specced out this http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/thinkpad/e-series/e460/

Intel Core i7-6500U Processor (4MB Cache, up to 3.10GHz)
AMD Radeon R7 M360 2GB
14.0 FHD(1920x1080) IPS Non-Touch
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC(2x2) 8260, Bluetooth Version 4.1
Win 10 Pro

A 16GB Ram Kit is $50 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007B5S52C/
A 750GB SSD is $199 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DUNLMUU/

That brings my total to $1055+tax.

Any advice on good cloning software, I just reinstalled my whole OS at the start of this week, and just spotted this deal on a 750GB MX300 and I am very tempted to get it.

u/turmoiltumult · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Well shieeeet, I just checked it and they appear to have sold out of them now. Sorry to get your hopes up on it. It was on Amazon under the "from $x.xx from other sellers" listings on this link

Does the amazon deal work for you? Works here in Aus.

For SSD, Amazon US has a really great deal on the Crucial MX300 750GB for only $100. You can find it here. I'm on the ropes if I need it but it's too much of a deal to pass up!

I'm working on an upgrade to my pc that I built years ago. I'm replacing all the parts but was wondering if it's worth upgrading my OCZ pcie revodrive? I have a crucial mx300 750gb drive on the way but looking at the read write speeds the revodrive seems to be faster? Should I keep the revodrive for a boot drive and use the mx300 for games and programs? Or get rid of the revodrive all together?

Thank you!

There's a deal on at the moment

That comes to AU$110 (US$74) cheaper than buying it here in Aus (incl. shipping)

Thanks again

Thanks for the speedy response! Guess it's just extra fast storage for me then! And then when I start another build I'll have a perfectly good SSD to add to it!

Raid sounds pretty cool! But I'll stay away from it for now, I've got no problems with two separate partitions for the two SSDs.

Here's the link to the one on amazon! I believe there's another sale for the same version on new egg too.

Deal is still live: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B01DUNLMUU/ref=gbdp_vlo_33bfbb2a_B01DUNLMUU?_encoding=UTF8&smid=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF. Probably same price for mainland EU after you include shipping.
