But any alum product would work. I just prefer a roll-on product as you don't need to wet it. But if you search for alum shaving blocks they are a very low cost option (but require wetting with water before applying). I think deodorants are called crystal deodorant and alum is more often used for the styptic and shaving products. They are all the same active more or less. It is an astringent and hemostatic for nicks and cuts, but also are antiseptic for underarm BO. And have a little antiperspirant effect as well.
