For everyone in here I would strongly encourage you to add "Death to the BCS" to your Christmas Wish List. Dan Wetzel, the author, does a great job of outlining the problems with the Bowl Championship Series and with the FBS in general.

I will legit buy + send this to five users who want to read this and learn more. The only stipulation, and its entirely honor based, would be to pass it along on r/cfb community once you're done reading it.

Any takers? Great college football book.

It is true that the author of the article (Dan Wetzel) is personally an advocate of the playoff system, but even if you are not a fan of a tournament, I recommend his book Death to the BCS. The corruption and problems with the BCS and Bowl System go far deeper than who gets to go to the NCG. Its disgusting. Secretive and fucked up computer formulas are just the tip of the iceberg.
