AmazonBasics Wired Keyboard $13.11

Dell KB216 $16.45

Cherry Stream 3.0 $25.99

The Stream keyboard has (laptop-style) scissor switches. Not sure about the Amazon one. The Dell doesn't, and is probably quieter because of that.

I had a logitech G710+ with Browns for about a year and didn't actually like it too much. I ended up selling it and settling for the same keyboard I use at work, a Dell KB216t which I actually like typing on better and it was $15!

I would like a stiffer key but I don't want to spend over $100 on a keyboard. That's why these Romer-G keyboards interested me because they seem to be priced reasonably.

Doesn "not as tactile" mean soft like a red switch?

This looks like something you'd want to check out. If it's not, you'll find a bunch more options searching "black wired chiclet keyboard" on Amazon.

Oops. I didn't read the title.

This might suit your needs. The keyword I use to find similar keyboard is "scissor switch keyboard" or "chiclet keyboard".

Also if what I think what you are looking for is keys like the one on your laptop, this Dell Wired Keyboard KB216 (580-ADMT) ://www.amazon.com/Dell-Wired-Keyboard-KB216-580-ADMT/dp/B00ZYLMQH0/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1506428441&sr=8-15&keywords=keyboard (Not a gaming kleyboard, but a keyboard that I imagine you would be looking for that resembles your laptop keys since these are flat and not bulky.)

Currently typing my answer from this Dell keyboard, it's only $13 with Prime shipping and has been excellent for me at the office.

I found the Dell KB216 for less than ten bucks on eBay. YMMV.

I don't understand your requirements for wanting a smooth keyboard? But for something slim and durable https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Wired-Keyboard-Black-580-ADMT/dp/B00ZYLMQH0/ A basic Dell keyboard will hold up well for a long time.

Ergonomic is kind of a buzzword that seems to constantly change. Maybe a simple https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Full-Size-Ergonomic-Wireless-Scrolling/dp/B078HFRNSP/ that fits better for people that are right handed?

I'd recommend this though regardless of your keyboard and mouse since it forces your wrists in a better position over the mouse and keyboard.

it types so its pretty good

But seriously, I have a cherry blue Coolermaster Quickfire XT I got it in 2014 cus I wanted a mechanical keyboard that looked normal as opposed to those Chinese knock off razer ones. I got it for like $120 AUD back then, but its under 100usd if thats where you are.

I did find it handy to reverse the space bar, since the edge on the front of it would make my finger sore from prolonged periods, when reversed it angles towards you and feels really nice.

Looking for a reasonably priced keyboard for work. Considering Ducky Zero.

I am currently using This nightmare.

So, I'm looking for an upgrade for work.

The requirements:

  • Brown switches. I'd like blue, but I am a supervisor in a call center and I am sure management will not be happy when they hear clicking in every single call recording. Our microphones are crazy sensitive.

  • Full keyboard/100%. The Ducky Zero looks perfect in this regard.

  • Under $100. The cheaper the better as I am just looking for something to replace my current shitboard, and I don't want to worry too much about losing money if it happens to get damaged or stolen.

  • No backlighting.

  • Standard bottom row preferred.

So far, the Ducky Zero looks perfect for me, but I want to gather some other suggestions on quality boards at possibly a lower cost.
