If you don't want to spend the money on the good metal tool boxes with the multiple drawers here's a pretty good system

If you read the descritption you will see that there are places to click on to get a view of the different sizes and shapes of the tools boxes plus you can always add to it as you need to as they are stacking. You can also mobilize it by getting the dolly made for it.

The only negative, and I know this from experience, is that you if you have it stacked, you have to de-stack to get to tools you might need in the lower kits which for me was a huge pain in the arse because I was almost always mobile with it but for the average person it wouldn't be.
