Yea this shit is crazy expensive. Chances are you'll still get a better deal shipping from Amazon.com over here. Just make sure you get someone to actually buy it for you with an amazon Prime account. I saved $15 getting my brother (in the states) to send me this DMT D2SE Extra Fine Sharpening Steel.
I use an extra fine diamond coated honing rod
before putting mine away every time. When it needs sharpening, I get out the 4 sided diamond sharpening stone:
