If they made a series based on The Dirty War (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dirty-War-Martin-Dillon/dp/0099845202 formatting won't work) it would be some series.

James Bond has fuck all on that shit.

I'm reading The Dirty War by Martin Dillon at the moment. Fantastic, albeit terrifying, book but it centres moreso around the violence of the Troubles than the politics.

>It "examines the roles played by the Provisional IRA, the State forces, the Irish Government and the British Army during this troubled period. He unravels the mystery of war in which informers, agents and double agents operate, revealing disturbing facts about the way in which the terrorists and the Intelligence Agencies target, undermine and penetrate each other's ranks."
