Sure , you wouldn’t want to use it for reg dirt soil though , it will hold to much of the water . And as far as humidity issue I’m not sure the watering system will help that , I would guess it’s more climate...
But yea simple really 10 gallon brand new trash barrel , drilled a hole at the bottom wall and epoxed a male hose attachment and irrigation system into it.

I placed and Anchor in the wall and metal chain the barrel about 3 feet up. You can just use milk cartons if needed! Just to get the gravity going . Oh and I also have a little fish airrator pump running inside the bucket to keep the nutrients mixed up! I will prob buy a small pump for my next grow to keep it even better circulating .
