Not OP but check out Dock Socket. Haven't used one because I don't have recessed lighting but it does just this.

Or you can just use a battery base for the Mini if you got no outlets available for it.

I bought one of these so I need to mount a socket inside the can so I can screw in a normal bulb (or in this case a bracket) and then use a standard can trim. Looks like this is to mount some type of pendant light?
