In the states we're allowed to have plug receptacles at or near the sink/vanity, but they have to be GFCI (ground fault circuit interruptor) protected. Basically it cuts power if there's a short.

It's pretty great. Gets rid of the cable mess, and actually makes the mini portable, this one goes between the kitchen and bathroom based on need. And it actually surprisingly sounds better in that mount than sitting on a flat surface.

I picked this up and love it. Full access to the lower plug and with the speaker facing out I have no problems with the speaker hearing my voice from a distance. I use it in my kitchen.
