It's science-fiction, fantasy, and adventure well before its LGBT, but part of my goal in writing my Dreambound series has been to bring themes of gender identity and dysphoria into a genre still severely lacking in them (despite The Left Hand of Darkness being like 50 years old wtf). Possibly most importantly however, it's not a melancholy-steeped depress-fest like 90% of LGBT fiction (another goal of mine while writing it).
And don't let the blurb fool you into thinking it's comedy at the expense of trans women. I am one. But I also have to market to the normies.
