I really like my AirPods, but I hate the one size fits all.


My ears are a bit deformed. My left earhole is smaller than my right. Over time it naturally pushes all earphones out. My husband bought me a pair of AirPods as a gift. I was excited and bit worried. I didn't want to lose them so I did some research. Turns out a pair of silicone ear hooks was all I needed. Been running miles with them and have never had them fall.

AirPod silicone covers. well worth it.

+1 for AirPods. I’ve owned two pairs of Jaybirds and they both broke at about 6 months. My AirPods (with the silicone hooks mentioned in comment above) have been a magical combo. The “tap to pause” is great, and I love the fact they charge in their case. Best Apple product in a while and so far (9 months) they have worked flawlessly. Here’s an amazon link for the silicon adapter I also found to be essential to keep the AirPods in my ears while running. Wish I didn’t need these... and maybe you won’t for your ears.

I run with headphones. I have a set of Apple Airpods, but they were useless for running until I bought these little gadgets and now they stay in place no matter what. I like them for running because they're so light and unobtrusive.

I've worn them for several major marathons. Sometimes interference at the start but as long as the music is stored on your phone/ipod, there shouldn't be any problem. I bought small "wings" on Amazon that they fit into so they don't fall out of my ears during the race.

I put my AirPods in little silicone ear hooks. They never fall out, a cheap easy upgrade if you want AirPods for any other reason.

And yes, they improve both the fit (for me) and the sound of the AirPods. The sound improvement is due to the increased isolation caused by the tighter fit. Downside is that they have to come on and off because of the case fit. So I only use them if I plan on extended use of the AirPods (they do come on and off easily). When I want really good sound and fit, I reach for either my Bose Soundsports or QuietComfort 35 II's but it's hard to beat the convenience of the AirPods.

  I like the AhaStyle more because they're easy to take on and off as well as more discreet, but the Earbuddyz are more comfortable. The AhaStyle ones do come with a case which is super nice. Both styles stay in my ears without any problem.

Thanks for the reply. What's funny is the thing that made me buy the BeatsX over AirPods last year was I wanted them for working out, but every time I do a bench workout where I lay on my back, the lanyard falls down my back and is annoying to deal with. I had to use the Wing attachment on the BeatsX to keep them from falling out for me, and I see on Amazon that you can buy a similar attachment.

I use these for my airpods and love them!

If you have an iPhone, the AirPods are amazing. I use them with these and they stay in place perfectly. No signal drop (which I saw with the Bose ones).

I've been using the basic apple headphones with these to help keep them in place. Cheaper option that has worked so far.

They admittedly take away some of the convenience factor as they don't fit in the charge case, but they help significantly with directing the sound properly into my ears. I've been using the same pair for about a month and haven't noticed any stretching of the silicon so far.

Screw those, you HAVE to get these. I have large ears and my Airpods would fall right out from WALKING.

With these babies attached to the Airpods, it braces perfectly along the inside of your ear with very soft and comfortable material, and when they are in your ear, you can feel how secure they are without even moving, but to test them I tried shaking, twisting, headbanging, I even did a few cartwheels, and I COULD NOT GET THEM TO FALL OUT OF MY EAR. It was such a liberating moment.

The AirPods also suck for my ears, I find them to fit much better with the foam tips. But I also have a pair of EarBuddyz 2.0 for when I exercise with my Airpods. I wouldn’t trust these foam tips while running. I just love how these foam tips can stay on while in the charging case which is a huge plus in my eyes. Something like the EarBuddyz cannot do that.

Damn, you lost weight in your ears, too! That's crazy. Maybe check out something like these you can add to your EarPods. i don't use them myself but they come built into my Bose earbuds, and they comfortably keep mine in place.

I had the same problem with the wired earpods and bought a little rubber skin for them on Amazon. It made all the difference and now they're my favorite earbuds. 🙂
