David M. Jacobs has a few good books - scary and true. He's a retired professor from Temple University.

Timothy Good also has a few good ones - very new stuff. Especially, Earth, an Alien Enterprise - you won't be able to put it down.

John Mack was a Harvard professor who investigated alien abduction. At first, he thought that there was some time of group hysteria responsible, then he became convinced that something was indeed going on. He was later tragically killed in a freak accident, so he must have been on to something.
