When you say that he was plenty of money to be comfortable, I did not expect the sum to be this amount:

He originally sued for 140 million so I wonder why he would have settled for such a comparably small amount. Perhaps the source is not accurate but it would be nice to know that he did in fact receive much more money. If not, its more likely that he didn't have a strong enough case and it dragged on for so long that he didn't have the resources to fight anymore. But I really hope it was more than $50,000, I can't imagine that even covered his legal fees.
