I believe this book contains the lore explanation for why Lave is in the Alliance. The author of the book also happens to be listed as "Station Commander" on the Lave Radio website. https://www.amazon.com/Elite-Revolution-Official-Dangerous-Trilogy-ebook/dp/B010GGFAWK

Hello Ketilkn

I put together the drafts for the guidebooks that informed all the fiction. So, I compiled and wrote up the Empire faction, the Federation Faction and the Alliance Faction as well as writing the Corporations Guide, the Old Worlds guide (with Dave Hughes) and a guide to Intelligence organisations. Essentially, by acting as a concept writer and compiler of the old lore from the previous games, I enabled Frontier to decide what they wanted to use and what they didn't want to use.

This formed the basis for my first Ph. D. case study. I'm currently working on the second case study (Chaos Reborn) and hope to complete this Summer.

I also wrote Elite: Lave Revolution. - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Elite-Revolution-Official-Dangerous-Trilogy-ebook/dp/B010GGFAWK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1458338393&sr=8-1&keywords=lave+revolution

There is some stuff that Drew Wagar wrote, on his site.

Apart from that, there are a few books which are canon, e.g. And here the wheel, or Lave Revolution.
