i just used paint markers. they work great, dry quickly, and really stand the test of time. most of the stuff on this jacket is 2 coats of the same color.
i used Elmers brand paint markers like these. I got mine at walmart. they sell medium and fine point and there are several color packs. I use the regular Tulip Soft Fabric Paint for most of the stencil stuff though. I just wasn't quite good enough to paint the detailed lines for the GOT shirt with a paintbrush.
No. Black Sharpies have a bit of a purple tint to them and I don't know if they can be removed with a nail polish remover. Use an actual paint marker like this:

I agree with eloven. Considering the Vulcans are small, it would probably be best to hand brush them with specific paints, such as yellow acrylic. Or you could look at the real gundam markers and look for the colors you like.
