I received mine yesterday, branded "Esimen VR Face Silicone Cover Mask & Face Pad for Oculus Quest Face Cushion Cover Sweatproof Lightproof Comfort Set (Mask Black)" from Amazon.

Thoughts after about 2-3 hours of usage:

  • Easy enough to install - just popped out the stock cover and fitted this over it, then snapped the cover back in place. Job done.
  • Had some issues with it fitting snug at the top of the cover, to the left and right of where the top strap protrudes. This causes a slight sag in the silicone which may contribute to the sensor blockage (described further down).
  • Feels quite cold on your face when you first put it on. Noticed that it felt a bit breezy in there too (weirdly enough).
  • Very comfortable after some use and does not leave the tell tale red marks on your forehead and under your eyes (the main reason for my purchase).
  • Gets a bit hot and sweaty but no more than using the stock cover in my opinion
  • Light leakage elimination is good. If the standard Oculus cover gives about 80% leakage elimination (leakage mainly through the nose), this drops the light leakage by another 5 - 10% (still some leakage through the nose, enough to still look down and check your phone if need be, but nowhere near as easy as before).
  • FOV/Immersion - This was a hard one for me as I can't really tell what it's doing. Essentially you are adding another ~1 - 1.5mm to the standard cover so I felt like the FOV was decreased slightly (even thought the product bills itself as "increased FOV" (no idea how that would even be possible)
  • No.1 Complaint - There's a sag in the fitment of the silicon to the top of the mask that blocks the display on/off sensor. So once you take the headset off, it'll still be shining through the lenses. At that point you need to use the on/off button at the side to turn the display off. So if you need to whip the headset off quickly and be guaranteed that the screen will turn off - this cover isn't for you.
  • So in summary, I'm reasonably happy with the $12 purchase and aside from the inevitable annoyances it does the main job for me which was to stop the gauges and lines in my forehead and eyes after more than 5 minutes usage of the Quest.

I got the AMVR one back in late August and I would definitely not recommend it. Comfort wise it was alright and helped with sweat but it had other issues that made me frustrated with it. It also decreased the fov. Outside of supposedly the new thin VR cover (you have to pay $19 extra for it) or supposedly the Rift padding, the 2 pads that come with the Quest interface from VR Cover will also decrease the FOV like the two AMVR pads.

Last week I ordered a silicone cover not expecting much from it yet I think it's pretty great. Helps with comfort, helps with sweat cleanup, cheap, doesn't decrease the fov. I got this one and is very snug on the stock interface:

My recommendation would be to go with one of those and save the money with the overrated 3rd party interfaces and pleather padding.

it's all i use now. I had a DAS and returned it. My cover also fits snug and does not fall off.
so far i've added a cut to the nose flap, but, i'm gonna cut the whole nose part out. i don't like it touching my nose.

It doesn't do much for pressure, I bought it to protect against sweat and for light blockage around the nose.

I'd recommend this face cover (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WVCBN25/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1). It's quite comfortable compared to what shipped with the Quest.

Don't make the stupid mistake I made and remove the foam cover that came with the Quest and replace it with this. These are meant to go OVER the original mask. ;)
