You kinda notice that you are sitting on cords, but not really. It is overall quite comfortable. My problem with it, is that I am a short ass 5'5", and the chair doesn't quite get as low to the ground as I would like...

I have been using that type of chair for over 2 years. You get used to it fast. I recently replaced it with a EuroStyle Bungee Chair and it is amazing. It is a bit pricey but it is worth EVERY penny.
