Agreed, first comic I actually LOL'd to all day.

Good advice: get a jar opener. Be it a man or one of these guys, it will save your hand, face, and other bits from destruction.

I have one like this. I've seen them at walmart for around 4$. It will open large jars and small water bottle caps. You don't have to grip both handles as you open. I've found out you can just grab one handle and twist if it fits snugly enough to the lid.

True, the trick on the lock ring is to make sure that you never tighten it more than "slightly snug." And that also goes for when putting on the catch jar because you can accidentally tighten the bottom ring without meaning to.

That said, it is very easy to over-tighten the lock ring if you are not paying attention. I've only done it a few times in 3 years, but the first time it was so damn tight I ordered two of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BKZUJK , one for each ring.

It was the only way I could get it to loosen up. I have strong hands, but could no matter how hard I gripped and twisted, it wasn't enough. I needed both wrenches.

I've never tightened it that much since, and so the couple other times I only needed one of the jar wrenches.

You should get a jar opener because this has saved me from-

  1. Breaking all the bones in my hand
  2. My mom breaking all the bones in her hand
  3. My sanity
  4. No wasted food from throwing the bottle in rage

Is a $10 giftcard ok? If so I would like that please.

You are absolutely beautiful, you look like a pretty princess today.

Something like this is what I mean for the jar opener.

I find it to be easier but it may not work with all bottle types. I'm glad I was able to help in some way. I still have days where I get down on myself because I expect myself to be able to do things I can't really do anymore but wish I could and I have to remind myself that different does not mean bad.

My secret to opening jars. These work so well because you get great leverage with them.

I have this weird plastic and rubber thing that you put on the cap and twist to easily open bottles and jars. I found it at my Grandpas house when I moved in and its the best thing ever! But my green tea consumption might be getting out of control now because I can open the bottle so easily...

This is the exact one I have!
