Hey there, OP! Sorry to hear you're having trouble.

Here's what I believe will solve your issues:

Washer
The washer timer is advanced automatically, and it is all contained within the timer. I have seen several times where the individual settings (filling, agitating, spinning) work, but it doesn't advance like it should. This is because a small motor on the timer has failed. All you need to do is replace the timer:

Dryer
Like the other techs have mentioned, it could be several things. However, 9 times out of 10, on this dryer the idler pulley has failed. It is a small pulley that keeps the belt tight against the drum that you put your clothes in.
