ExOfficio's Give-N-Go boxer briefs. They are a bit expensive, but as far as I'm concerned they are the best underwear out there in terms of fit, material, and durability. I've owned the same 8 pairs for a couple of years now and they stay just as fresh as the day I bought them.

I'm a big fan of ExOfficio boxer-briefs.
They're comfortable, they work as athletic underwear, and they dry really quickly so if you're travelling you can basically rotate two pairs if you wash one while you shower. If I could afford it I would honestly replace the rest of my underwear with them probably.

Don't wear cotton. Don't use gold bond. Take care of the problem at the root. Stay hydrated, and wear synthetic underwear.
Aside from this, find a speed stick or runner's stick for this. Basically lubes your thighs up.
My favorite while on my Brooks is these Exofficio boxers under whatever pants/shorts won't gouge my tukas or saddle. They're NOT designed exclusively for bicycling; There's no chamois to get soggy and gross if you're in the saddle for long hours. You can easy make do with 2 pair on travel of any length or type: Hand wash, wring, and air-dry one overnight while wearing the other. If you sleep necked, 1 will do! Lightweight, comfy, quick drying, not too tight or loose... easy to see why they're so well rated on Amazon.

Know the error of your ways. Then never let cotton touch your man parts again. 5/$20 and how long do they last you? Do they get gross after one summer afternoon? One for $13 when they go on sale, super comfy, breathable, wicky, and if you have to you can travel a couple continents in the same pair and they'll still be good.
EDIT: You savages don't get to downvote unless you give a better alternative. Think about it this way. Cotton absorbs 400% it's weight in water. Since your balls aren't a soothing, placid lake, you've got sweat down there. Now what is sweat? Quite a lot of water. So that nasty just soaks right into your tighty whities and festers. If you get something that's synthetic and wicky, you mitigate swamp ass. Do you savages like swamp ass? Continue buying cotton drawers and leave the stock of ExO's to me :p

Yeah. Personally, I wear these which are somewhat cheaper and I quite enjoy them, even compared to my $25/pair underamours. But I need some more so if I pull the trigger on Sheath I'll update haha

I got these for Coachella this year. Those plus gold bond extra strength and I had no issues with chafing.
