How much did you end up spending on this? I just put this together from amazon and it's a really nice solid mount for the money.

u/r0hto88 · 4 pointsr/battlestations

I'm assuming it might be this? I just ordered 3 monitors and this is the stand that I will be getting for it.

u/caboose0013 · 4 pointsr/battlestations

This is the one he has, there is also one without the stand that clamps onto the desk.

u/wanze · 4 pointsr/battlestations

You really dont have to be rich to have something like this. It's three monitors. Pretty much anybody could afford it.

There's not even anything expensive in this picture. Is it the fact that they have 3 monitors on a mount?

Here's a Triple Monitor Mount Stand for $90 and two 24" 1080p Samsung monitors for $130 each.

There. $350 and now you'll also "look rich".

u/deRPling42 · 3 pointsr/battlestations

Asus VN247H-P, they aren't the best due to the TN panels, but they are a nice size and offer 1ms response time, not to mention the super thin bezels. http://www.amazon.com/VN247H-P-23-6-Inch-Screen-LED-Lit-Monitor/dp/B00AVYNS7M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421795264&sr=8-1&keywords=asus+vn247h-p&pebp=1421795266522&peasin=B00AVYNS7M

The mount is great and very sturdy and allows for micro adjustments so you can have all the monitors at the right height (I have to adjust my left monitor as evidenced in the pictures)

u/sharknice · 3 pointsr/pcmasterrace

Can anyone who has this stand say anything about its quality? Is it sturdy? Easy to adjust? Are the monitors level?

u/HuhhDoe · 3 pointsr/battlestations

here is the monitor mount, here is the soundbar mount and here is the soundbar/subwoofer combo

u/sintheticgaming · 2 pointsr/battlestations

The monitors you see here are ASUS VS238H-P 23" times 3. You have to buy separate monitors and also make sure the computer's graphics card can support either Nvidia Surround or AMD Eyefinity depending on what GPU you have. If you want its totally optional but you can buy a triple monitor stand like I did I used the EZM Deluxe Triple Monitor Mount Stand and it makes the setup look A LOT cleaner.

u/rjyapp · 2 pointsr/battlestations

This guy.

It's sturdy as hell and well made so I have no idea why it's so cheap, other than maybe because it's one solid arm as opposed to other stands that let you swing the sides in a bit more. I highly recommend it though.

The monitor stand: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006JG7G2E/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

That is a linnmon desk, but it works incredibly well! I basically have 6 legs on the desk - 4 on the corners, and then two on either side of the clamp. Once you get it leveled it's pretty damn solid (at least for the price!).

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006JG7G2E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

That is the stand I have right now supporting 3x 24" screens. The mounts that slide onto the arms allow for angle adjustment, and they can rotate for portrait mode. It's also very sturdy, and has not damaged either of the desks I've used it on.

Of course, this won't work on a glass desk.

I'm looking to do the same thing.

First thing is that your video card needs to be upgraded if you're hoping to game on 3 monitors at 1920x1080 on high-ultra settings.

I'd recommend getting at least an 8950 when they come out soon. Don't invest in a 7xxx series card at the moment since the 8xxx series is just around the corner. If you really want to get things up and running soon though I have an extra aftermarket HIS 6950 I could sell you that you could potentially crossfire in the future for about the same performance as the card you'd get from holding out and waiting.

Monitor wise I'm actually about to upgrade to 3x of these bad boys which are 1920x1080 IPS monitors which is worth the investment for color reproduction and viewing angles as well as VESA mount compatible. IPS is a much better investment than 120hz on a TN panel because of their resale value of IPS and the fact that running games at a higher refresh rate isn't going to be that noticeable of a difference and will put literally 2x the workload on your GPU compared to the regular 60-75hz which would mean you'd need to put a more significant upgrade to your graphics card. 120hz monitors are also not worth their significantly higher price tag

Those monitors are going to be used with this monitor stand, which is actually the cheapest good stand there is out at the moment. Unless you have a desk that would work with a clamp mount, then you could save $20 bucks with this clamp version of the same stand

If you want to consider another alternative for a large screen space with extended peripheral viewing similar to a triple head setup would be a single 29. AOC has one hell of a monitor in its 2560x1080, 21:9, Slim bezel IPS LED Monitor that you could probably run decently with your current GPU. Triple monitors at 1080p with max setting requires some significant GPU power.

u/Clockw0rk · 2 pointsr/Monitors

I actually looked at the Asus you linked while I was scouting around before. The price is definitely a big plus, and I generally trust Asus in terms of build quality, I just wasn't sure if I wanted IPS vs 120Hz. I think I've been won over to the IPS side.

I was originally considering the clamp stand here, but as I see the stand you linked also has an anchor coupled with the broader surface area, that's probably what I'll go with.

For the Asus versus Dell argument, it comes down to one thing: Connectivity. The Asus has HDMI while the Dell has DisplayPort.

My understanding is that with DisplayPort, I could have a single cable coming off my card and going to all three monitors simultaneously. While with HDMI, I would be using both of my DVI ports and my HDMI port in order to power three heads. Is that correct? If so, I'd be more inclined to go with the Dell, even though it's a 50 dollar price difference per monitor.

If that's incorrect and I'd be running three lines off my graphics card either way, what (if any) benefit does DisplayPort offer over HDMI?

u/Phir · 2 pointsr/battlestations

I've been looking into 3 monitor stands, this should do the job 1 or this one 2

The rooms are pretty small, but they already have all the furniture that you'll need in them and you also have the common living room and kitchen. I stayed in WV for two years and didn't find the room size to be a problem.

I had a desktop computer and dual 27" monitors and had no problems. Just set the computer on the floor next to the desk and you're set. If you wanted to use three monitors, you could get a monitor stand like one of these and mount them to it, assuming your monitors have VESA mounts:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SYVE3CI

https://www.amazon.com/Deluxe-Monitor-Desktop-Supports-002-0019/dp/B006JG7G2E

I have the second one with 3 x 27" monitors and it works great.

Any place on campus is going to have about the same sized room(s) and furniture, so if you can't live with only having two monitors, then you'll need to find a place off campus.

I have this triple monitor mount it's a desk clamp model which is ideal for me as my desk isn't very wide.

There's tons of mech keyboards out there with various switches, I really like the models that are 96 key, they have numpad and F keys. A similar keyboard would a RedScarf III, or a TX-CP, which is the same layout as the FC980M (cheapest option).

I have the TX-CP I received for reading various items, but it does cost a pretty penny.

If you've never used a mechanical keyboard heres a somewhat decent guide for how the switches feel

As for a mouse I use a razor mamba as I like the varying DPI settings.

For a UPS, cyberpower or APC, if it's just for a desktop cyberpower will do the job, if it's for servers go APC 100%

I have never found a U shaped desk for under ~400$ which makes me cringe, this one is semi close to what I'd want, personally I'd build it myself and add in plenty of places for grommets, cables, and power as my desk is usually where all the magic happens and tearing apart and testing devices and what not.

I have the EZM Deluxe Triple Monitor Mount without the arms attached. (I bought the mount months ago, on sale for dirt cheap, when I originally planned to go with triple monitors. My desk is tucked into a corner so I had to abandon the triple monitor setup.)

If you use that arm (or probably any arm), I would recommend making sure you have enough desk depth. The arm, plus the center plate, plus the VESA mount adapter that comes with the monitor pushes it out from the arm itself by a not too insignificant amount. Also, not sure what the deal was but the pivot on the center plate, no matter how much I tighten it, never stays up under the weight of the monitor.

It's the one in the link below. It's not meant for 32s.. so you can see they are slightly out of alignment, but it works. No one seems to make a decent mount so you can angle 3 32" monitors properly, which is highly disappointing. If you are going to do this, make sure that the 32" screens have the smallest possible bezels.

Hey! Sorry for the late response. This is the mount I'm using

Currently, I'd say there's about 2-3 feet between the middle monitor and the corner of the wall. I DO have the tabled pulled out extra though, and could probably push it back a bit. But, since I'm still working on some cable management, it sits like this.

Also, 24" monitors are definitely a great choice for this set-up. Like I've said in my other posts, sometimes 3x27" is too much.

If the Wefald desks are thinner than that, maybe put a piece of thin lumber on the underside and clamp it in place with the mount? Shouldn't need to screw it in or anything.

Yeah, I have my monitors mounted to my desk with this guy. It's stable enough, and has a super small footprint on the desk, which was important to me.

u/Ntldrx2 · 1 pointr/battlestations

This is the monitor mount, but if you have a little more money i would look at something else. It does the job but just barely.

Some of them have adjustable pieces for each monitor to fine tune height. I have one that attached to the desk rather than sit on the table, but it definitely does.

I have this one. It's working pretty good so far and I've had it for a month. The only downside is that you don't really have much freedom in the angle of the monitors due to the solid bar. Makes it much easier getting them even though and the bar makes it really easy to mount an LED strip across it.

I didn't list it because it didn't seem relevant to the rig itself. I splurged and got a bow-style display mount. This was a bit of an experiment as I've always used swivel arms before, however, seeing how well they work in some of the other setups on here and r/Workspaces, I figured I'd give it a shot. Glad I did!

Desk space isn't needed when you have this

But yes, I agree. This subreddit is pretty ridiculous/awesome. I think a lot of us bide the time until release by planning absurd setups, it's half the fun for me.

I used this mount to mount 2 23" 16:9's on the side and 1 34" 21:9 in the center. It was a little tight but it did fit. 2 24" and a 29" should fit just fine.

Unfortunately that mount only fits 3 screens. You could use a wall mount to mount the 4th one above it or this mount that looks similar but fits a 4th screen (doesn't clamp on the desk though).

Another alternative is to just get 3 separate desk mounts.

I'm looking to get a VESA mount for my monitors, but haven't been able to find one that holds all three that I like. This is the closest I've found and the "wings" don't fold in sharply enough. Would it be easier to buy two dual mounts / one dual, one single? I looked at this one and this other one and they both seem decent.

My monitors are as follows: 24" (s2415h), 27" (27ud68), 24" (actually a small tv), where the 27" is my primary that I want in the center facing me directly. The two 24" monitors I'm looking to have off to the side, angled sharply toward me since I occasionally boot the playstations on them.

Additionally, I'm planning on putting some wood between the desk clamp and desk to try and spread out the weight of the stand. Good idea? Bad idea? Desk is most likely from Staples/Office Depot/one of those office supply stores, it's old and I don't remember the model.

i recommend this one

this one is a stand but a good one but here is camp.

they are both the same except ones a stand and ones a clamp. and the stand is more expensive

u/nicedogfaggot · 1 pointr/battlestations

Yeah, it was this mount.

It was solid metal. Super nice build quality. Since my desk is made of 2 slabs of wood biscuit jointed together, the back piece started to bend from the weight of the 25lbs mount and 3 monitors clamped onto one 3 inch square of the back of the wood.

I may try again but with a stand version instead soon. I want more room.

u/Bandar3 · 1 pointr/battlestations

I been using this with my RL's for about 8 months now, havent faced any issues with them dropping low compared too the others i have used, My macaw also sits on top of my screens so they pretty solid for the price.

u/Mozartis · 1 pointr/buildapc

Here you have mount.
Chair I would go for Ikea's Markus, it goes for $150 here.

u/AlistarDark · 1 pointr/buildapc

I got one second hand, but it's 55" long and about 33" deep. My three 24" monitors fit on it. You can also find mounts that support for 3 monitors that have 1 leg that you attach to the desk, kind of like this

u/cphcider · 1 pointr/battlestations

Those monitors don't look identical, but you MAY be able to flip all 3 vertical and create a DIY ultrawide situation. That would give you more horizontal desk space so the TV isn't so crowded.

This one has arms you can adjust, but only horizontally (and tilt), you couldn't change any heights.

Same story with this one, but arguably easier to ensure things are more aligned. (This is what I use for 2 monitors that aren't identical and it works well enough.)

This one would let you play with heights, but is 2x the price of the others for that reason.

This was me playing with the idea of 2 horizontal and 1 vertical.

I'm using this mount which I find surprisingly sturdy for the price!

Thanks :D

The individual monitors does not look like it can be moved up or down, but it looks like a very high quality product. I've been thinking about buying one for a while to go along with my future triple monitor setup lol. btw, is that mouse RGB? If so, what is it called?

u/droxgh04 · 1 pointr/battlestations

This one

The desktop itself is solid wood and it's very sturdy so I dont have anything reinforcing it but there is a 5th leg underneath the back center but the desktop is solid enough that it's really unnecessary. I only added it because I bought 5 legs.

u/Vantage9 · 1 pointr/AskBattlestations

What makes you think that the triple mount solutions you see aren't sturdy? I've used multiple types, and have not had any problems when installed correctly. All the types have ways of locking and tightening things in place, even the Articulating Arms, which is what I use. Unless you a really knocking into your monitors, it shouldn't be an issue.

As for the TV Mount.. does it have to be attached to the desk? Why not wall mount? Also, really need to know specs on the TV like size and weight in order to look for options.

u/xReddit_Sucks · 1 pointr/Monitors

Maybe I'm missing it but is it just for one monitor or multiple?

I can recommend this one, have been using it for nearly 2 months now and I have no regrets. It takes a bit to get multiple monitors adjusted perfectly but once done it looks great.

u/newzeckt · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

this is the one i use, and i have no complaints for it

u/tarantulae · 1 pointr/sysadmin

I'd highly recommend VESA mounts for your monitors. Whether you go with 2 or 3 (never 1 anymore) get a clamp style mount for them. It gives you desk space for keyboard/mouse, papers, snacks/etc. Keeps the monitors up and out of the way and usually incorporates some cable management too. And it keeps them all lined up (something almost impossible to get with floating arm style mounts). I have something like this but I only have 23" monitors still. I linked this one because it supports 28" monitors, and it sounds like you would really enjoy larger screens.

u/JB_psi · 1 pointr/buildapc

I use this with triple 27s, and it still has plenty of room to adjust for larger screens.

Just got one of these not too long ago and it’s fantastic. Super sturdy, easily adjustable. My only gripe is that it’s a PITA to set up. The instructions aren’t super helpful. Once it’s set up tho, it’s amazing!

u/jeroenvangoch · 1 pointr/audiophile

It's a triple monitor stand mounted to my table. I got mine from a dutch retailer but it's very similar to this one.
