I did and I like the sound of rattling in the vacuum too.
How about the "pop corn" thingy on wheels. No batteries but there is a clear globe with little balls inside that pop up against the dome when the child pushes it. That and a toy lawn mower that is almost as loud and annoying as a real one.

Oh my GOD! It would be the grown-up version of playing with the popcorn popper. That would be as much fun as having the ball pit in the first place!
I got one for my youngest kid a long time ago and I still like it. It's sort of like those Fisher-Price Corn Popper toys. They make me smile.
