Fjällräven Kånken. Perfect size, casual stylings. Laptop pocket fits most laptops. It has a single outer pocket, and very comfortable padded straps.
The material has a papery feel similar to waxed canvas, but is actual a synthetic, waterproof fabric invented in North Korea called Vinylon F. What's unusual and quite lovely about it is that it ages a little bit like pull-up leather; it brightens slightly when it creases.
Fjällräven is an old Swedish brand which has been making school backpacks since the 60s or so. They remove the umlauts for the American market, but it's pronounced fyell-revven (mountain fox, or the Arctic fox). Kånken is konken (carry).
Fjallraven? 16L I dont like the looks of those straps myself but it'll work for a light load.
