I can also confirm the Xbox One S controller works great on Android. all emulators I've tried support it with no setup needed, most games do as well.

I just got this clip on jawn and it works really well for this purpose. My xbone controller has bluetooth so no wires or anything, it just works.
Might want to look into a steam controller and a clip for that if you don't want to be as restricted with the games you play.
I've had good luck with these guys in the past, but they're designed to fit a specific phone model and they won't fit if the phone has a case on it. It worked very well when I had it, but the above caveats meant that I had to take the case off every time I wanted to use it, and it was completely useless after I upgraded my phone.
you could stream your pc on your phone and use one of these controller clips. Graphics and latency aren't too noticeable if you have fast wifi on your home network.
Sometimes I also stream to my PC remotely via the internet. My upload speed at home is horrible so my visuals can get a little rough, but it's totally still playable. I use the Moonlight app to stream.

Yeah, here's a link. I don't know if it fits PS4 controllers but it works with my xbox one s controller and a couple knockoffs, and the page says it's compatible with steam controllers.
