You can try to get some activated Charcoal. I doubt there is anything you can do for already tainted food but it will absorb a lot more than Baking soda.

This is the one I have. It's basically a little pouch of activated carbon that helps remove the litter box odor from the air. You can also try those baking soda filter boxes too.
