I brought a Frogg Togg Chilly Pad with me when I went. Helped immensely.

Not sure if you can get these in stores in Canada though. I have not seen them around Ottawa, but might have a better chance around Toronto.

My little girl is the same with the heat. However, this saved us! Cut it in half. Buy the color you want, I wish I did. I got the cheapest one, the neon green one, and it is the only terrible thing about it.

Here are a few other items that can be purchased to help keep you cool while at work /u/CupKate123.

I'm not in your situation, so I don't have any real advise about whether or not you should still be working.

Are there things you could do at your job that would help to mitigate the heat a bit? I saw another bumper the other day post about buying one of these "chilly pad" towels ( http://www.amazon.com/Frogg-Togg-Chilly-Lime-Green/dp/B002NGSB96/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1465261132&sr=8-1&keywords=chilly+pad ) to help her deal with not having air conditioning this summer. Or maybe one of those mister bottles with the foam fan attached to the nozzle? Could you be allowed to take short, but regular breaks in the air conditioned office so that you get the chance to cool down completely more often?

My best festival tip is to get yourself one of these -

These towels help you cool you off immensely during a hot festival weekend. Just dip them in water, wring them out a bit, and voila! Helps you to stay cool and doesn't leave your clothes wet. I got so much use out of them during Coachella, at the campsite and in the venue. Can't recommend them enough.
