Yes as mentioned there are very few Veterinary Behaviorists throughout the world, and we actually have quite a high concentration in the SF/Bay Area.
There are two Board Certified Veterinary Behaviorists at the SF SPCA and one behavior resident veterinarian who will be board certified in a few years. One of the Certified Behaviorists is actually the VP of Rescue and Welfare so she no longer really takes appointments but Dr. Sung who co wrote “From Fearful to Fear Free” takes appointments. Dr. Liu is the behavior resident and she has appointments as well.
There is another one out in Dublin, and nearby at UC Davis there are some more Vet Behaviorists as well.
