> All emotions are biologically created, that does not mean they are a disease.

No, but when they cause dysfunction they can be indicative of a disorder or biological response to environment that can be aided by medicinal treatment.

Maybe read one of the diagnostic criterion for a mental disorder and check how often the dysfunction and distress qualifier is used, no one is advocating for normal function or response that does not cause distress or dysfunction to be medicalized.

> When psychiatrists "diagnose" you they can not prove anything is biologically wrong with you. Not one damaged brain cell.

Depends on if you have a well-understood disorder or not, there are many well understood biological models of disease that present primarily as mental or emotional dysfunction.

Many severe mental disorder diagnoses will involve physical exams such as blood work or general consultation with an internist.

Examples include hypothyroidism presenting as bipolar disorders, Lewy body dementia presenting as schizoaffective disorder, etc.

You’re stunningly wrong in the “not one damaged cell” claim, there are many known neuromarkers for mental disorders. Here’s a standard text for a course on the neuropsychiatry of mental health.

Here’s a summary lecture by its author on the topics covered in such a course.

> That's what "mental illness" is- a moral judgement (good vs bad) about your behaviors.

It’s not a judgement of good vs bad, it’s functional vs dysfunctional. No one is issuing a moral judgement.

> Btw, Alzheimer's is a real brain illness and there's actual brain damage

No shit Sherlock, but there are multiple models of Alzheimer’s involving various underlying disease factors leading to proteopathy of amyloid beta and tau proteins. We know there are multiple causes and therefore multiple disease types, yet they’re all Alzheimer’s.

Additionally we know of many types of dementia with unknown, but distinct underlying cause, yet we group them all as dementia and can point to obvious dysfunction that is benefitted by medical intervention even though the biological cause is not known.
