Not that you need it since all yours lived but I find these worth it.

Two days ago, the Tangilope's leaves went a little limp. Upon inspection of the soil, it appeared to me it was due to the cup starting to fill with roots and quickly sucking the cup dry of most water. I do not believe it is over-watering, but I could be mistaken. Last night, I decided to move it to a 2gal smart pot filled with approx. 3/4 Roots Organics and 1/4 chucky perlite moistened for a very light and airy mix. I then used approx. 6oz of water to water mostly around the root ball (no run-off, I didn't want to drown it). It's still growing, but I'm hoping the leaves will bounce back to their perky selves soon. I plan on letting the soil dry out quite a bit before the next watering. And as soon as it bounces back and grows one more node, the topping and LST will begin.

The Vanilla Kush is getting big quick, and I'm liking how wide the leaves are looking already. I was hoping to get a more Indica pheno to balance the tangilope. I looked at the rootball last night, and I think it could go a bit longer without transplant. I watered it again this morning, so it will be ready for a transplant tomorrow night.

Things are looking pretty good so far, and I'm getting excited now that the plants are starting to move along. I can't wait to train my first couple plants. Topping, tying, and scrogging to come. Thanks for looking

There are products like a starter plugs you plant into these once you get roots it all goes into a hydro system.

You can also use rockrool and grodan and seed directly into the cubes or whatever you choose. I would shy away from starting soil and moving over.

Some things you can buy:

Full kit, no gel. I personally don't like the light directly on top of the dome. You can't raise/lower if needed.

Hothouse and mat. This is what I use, along with this light.

Rooting gel

Rapid rooter starting pods. I use this, but there are definitely cheaper alternatives out there.

Don't give up!! Read up, do some research, and keep trying to grow. It's a fulfilling hobby, well worth the effort.

I use Rapid Rooters and the roots pop out within a couple days of sprouting or cloning. I also use MaxiGro. What nutes are you using?

yes those are Pueblo Chile seeds. I would get some Rapid Rooters and stick one seed in a rapid rooter x however many you want to grow. Alternatively you can put some holes in the bottom of a solo cup fill it with dirt and then water sparingly. the rapid rooters are used as a buffer, but they will grow directly in the soil. Or just take a look at this. https://www.pexpeppers.com/how-to-grow-ghost-peppers/

I have only used Rapid Rooters for making clones

Huh, you must be looking at the trays. I just get a bag of rapid rooters for 15$, I have my own humidity dome/tray/heat mat already but you do NOT need the tray to use them. You just need some way to keep them up right.

And not sure why im getting downvoted, rapid rooters are the shit. Blows rockwool out of the water as they dont need any phing, and have a perfect water:air ratio for germing. They are even dosed with a little bit of floramicro nutrients to promote rooting.

After the seed sprouts the suface in one, there are already a substantial root structure which means when you transplant the rapid rooter into your medium, the seedling will have a solid head start.

I start all my autoflowers in general hydroponics rapid rooters,

General Hydroponics Rapid Rooter Replacement Plugs https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0002IU8K2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Ptf3CbVBZ9PZG

And i always start them in dome with heat pad under it, with an led made for seedlings around 5000k

Future Harvest Development National Garden Wholesale SunBlaster Nano Dome Propagation Combo Kit https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00AKKU71M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_bvf3Cb68DC7H7

Ive never had a problem this route with stunting or what ever else. How big of pot for the final home? What breeder of autoflowers?

  1. I started with the general hydroponics but after I found out they have all in one solutions it was a game-changer. I would recommend following the basic combinations on the back vs only picking one solution. Some of them might contain other micronutrients vs the others unless you use all in one solutions.

  2. I think most herbs are pretty tolerant of their water supply and you can probably get by on your first grow without measuring it. If the results are worse than go and invest in a kit. If you're just going to put the medium over the water until the roots grow out, the chlorine will have time to evaporate off.

  3. See number 2.

Additionally, while a lot of people use Rockwool I found rapid rooter plugs a lot easier to use. No soaking just put the seed in and wet and you are done. Make sure the rapid rooter bottoms aren't in your mason jars or they will deteriorate and mess up the water supply. Try and pick the largest mason jars, I think there are .5 gallons (Walmart should be a lot cheaper than amz do to shipping), so you don't have to refill it and don't risk drowning the roots on refills after the water goes down.
