Tower fans are nice, have a small footprint, and will add some background white noise. Same with tower-style air purifiers -- I have this one in the living room & my dog's bedroom.
Strategically placed bird feeders & birdhouses in your yard could help, too. I'm really sorry to hear that happened! Sounds like you have a lot on your plate right now. Just remember that you are doing everything that you can, because that's all that you really can do. The Rabbit Air is a good purifier, but it's also upwards of $500. I'm not sure what kind of money you have for a purifier, but a reasonably priced alternative would be this.

I actually have a pretty strong air purifier that I've tried running in the room with the door closed, leaving nothing else in the room, but when I come back a few hours later the smell doesn't go away.
