When I came to my company the IT dept. was downtrodden and had zero funding. We were crammed into what could only be described as a "spacious closet".
With a little charisma, a lot of hard work developing projects that sped up processes, and a metric sht ton of pretty charts that has completely changed. I've been promoted to the dept. head, the office size has quadrupled, and we now have a legitimate budget.
