For a long time I didn't really go on the internet at all, I just studied Early Modern history, philosophy and literature independently and sort of built up my own curriculum through an honest adherence to scholarly standards. At the same time I found my own beliefs with regards to contemporary politics, Feminism, Social Justice etc becoming much more conservative, which isn't actually surprising, as many of the great liberal thinkers like the members of Johnson's club or Goethe are almost notorious for their conservatism.

It wasn't until I was doing a lot of reading about the development of 18th century print culture that I started trying to use 'New Media' to connect with other likeminded people. The results have been mixed. On the one hand it is exciting at times, how there seems to be something in the air, a sort of conservative counterculture that seems to be gestating in all the dark corners of the internet. On the other hand I've been largely disappointed by the intellectual standards these communities have set for themselves.

I think the red pill is good in so far as its more honest than Feminism about the insecurities and complexes held by many women. Where I differ however is that I feel like getting married and having children is a good thing, an important part of your own individual development as a human being. The Red Pill is too cynical for me, and too negative. Women are beautiful, and I think they're allowed to have their own insecurities, even if those insecurities are ugly and unsettling. Look around r/TRP, there's a lot of insecurity on display, and there's nothing wrong with that. Understanding the insecurities of women can make you a better partner, which in turn will help whatever woman your with grow and mature as a person.

I've never picked anyone up before, I'm in a LTR now and I've never done any of this game stuff. What I don't like is the degenerative use of culture and philosophy to justify things here. I always cringe when I see people in this forum talking about Nietzsche or 'the stoics,' it's all rubish pseudo-intellectualism.

Goethe did have a much more constructive version of masculinity, I recommend reading Boyle's biography of Goethe if you want to get a better sense of him.
