I don’t like the headband because it can get a little warm. Also corded earbuds can get in the way. I use one of these small single ear Bluetooth earbud. I'm sure two of the ones I tried are at least speced as running A2DP. Can't find the other one now, but this is one of them.

Maybe A2DP requires to be run in stereo so it doesn't matter if it's supported or not if the device is mono?
