Because it changes for every stage the kid will need a seat/booster for. God willing I wont have to buy another at all.
My stroller also has a carseat and changes from newborn to toddler- so i have a spare carseat for other cars, and a stroller in one!
I also got a crib that turns into a toddler bed
A pack n play that has 2 stages: higher pad for basinett (sleeping in our room for 6 months at least) then it will be the pack n play for the rest of his toddler years.
My baby sling thing has front and back facing- so it will last years as well.
Basically everything on my list as far as big stuff goes should last from newborn- up to like 4ish

We are getting the Graco 4Ever DLX 4-in-1. It has great safety reviews and converts from rear facing (up to 40 lbs) to forward facing w/ harness (up to 65 lbs) to a high backed booster (up to 100 lbs) AND a backless booster (up to 120 lbs).
This seat would work for both your kiddos from now until they don’t need a seat at all.
