Used to lose some expensive electronics to my cat, haven't had an issue since.

I just got both of my cats to stop chewing up the house! I was waking up every day to 3-6 piles of cat barf with plastic/ribbon/unidentifiable object in them, and I got fed up. Their thing was (mostly) plastic, not cords, so I can't guarantee this'll work for you, but it's worth a shot.

I completely switched over to feeding them in one of these kibble balls. They get all their kibble in the ball now; I put in 1/4 cup twice a day (for two cats). I also feed them wet food once a day.

The other thing I did seemed really obvious after I'd thought of it - I bought chew toys. My cats love them. Their favorites are turkey tendon and cod skin, but beef esophagus is also popular. The only tricky part is securing the treats so they can chew on them - I wedge the cod skin in the corner of one of their scratching boxes and staple the beef esophagus to the side. The turkey tendon is light and flexible enough that they can hold it down with one paw while they chew!

I seriously can't believe how much of a difference this made. My house went from a cat puke minefield to a livable space. My stuff isn't getting chewed to pieces any more. My fat cat is actually exercising instead of begging me for food all day! I really hope it works for you too.

>He has gotten the cold shoulder for a week now

One more thing - negative reinforcement doesn't work with cats, and he definitely won't remember bad behavior from a week ago. Side note, this website mentions bitter apple spray, which you may want to try applying to your cords!

This bitter apple spray works very well for keeping our cats away from wires. Our male cat chews on any cable that isn't sprayed (and have ruined a couple of expensive earphones in the process) but doesn't touch any wire that is sprayed.

Looks like you have a good list going, remember to update your pups microchip with your address and get him/her a tag with your details.

We got a 36 inch crate and it's plenty big for our boy (he's around 30 pounds).

Puppia harness is a great starter harness, it's soft and doesn't have a bunch of metal jingling pieces which our puppy HATED on his harness our breeder gave us.

Kibble, check out dog food advisor for reviews and ratings of foods content, we were using grain free salmon and sweet potato from chicken soup for the soul, it's decently priced and well rated I can't find it anywhere atm so we're switching him back to their normal kibble.

Salmon Oil is a lifesaver in the winter, our pup gets terribly dry skin and extremely itchy without it.

Start out with a puppy kong, they sell kong fillers that are cheese and peanut butter flavored, our puppy was pretty picky at first and only ate the cheese one, didn't like frozen kongs either.

I'd start with a Basic Collar here's a Dog Tag Silencer and a Break-away collar for outdoors or dog park. A dog was choked unconscious at our park so I typically just keep our guys ID tags on his harness and don't use a collar, but if you do I definitely recommend a break-away if you are primarily using a harness with it.

Items we found useful: Bed Liner, Crate Fence, Kong, Stainless Steel Bowls (highly reccomend US made do not buy any made in China for health reasons), Zippy Paws Hide and Seek toys, Potty/accident cleaner, Potty Bells, Anti-chew Bitter Apple spray, 50 ft Leash, Retractable Leash, Soft stop Leash extender, Car Seat Belt, Car Booster Seat, Gentle Shampoo, Comb, Travel Water Bottle, Flirt Pole, Special Treats, Chew Stick, Greenies

Sorry for the HUGE list lol, feel free to ask any questions!

Probably the cutest pup ever! But yeah, stop her from eating rocks ASAP. The best way is to spray all nearby rocks with Bitter Apple

Works everytime. Be as consistent as possible. My bad-ass pup never goes near trash cans anymore no matter what awesomely disgusting smells lurk within.

I'm surprised no one has suggested apple bitters. It was made for dogs but a lot of people use it for cats, hamsters, rabbits, etc. I bought some 2 weeks ago. You spray it on items you don't want them to chew and he hasn't bitten anything since then. You just have to reapply it every couple of days until the bottle is gone.

No, it can cause a blockage in their digestive system and lead to a condition called GI Stasis, which is when bunnies stop eating for many hours and their digestive system shuts down, which leads to death if help isn't given. (Side note: a bunnies digestive system is VERY important to their health and wellbeing, lots of research is needed.) If your new little pair are carpet chewers like my Thumper is, what you can do is try to provide them with a variety of toys to occupy their interests to keep them from going into bunstruction mode. Rabbits are like kids, they get bored very easily. If they seem to be going for a particular area of the carpet no matter what you do, what you can try is spraying perfume/body sprays around the area (obviously when they're not around) as this will put them off the scent and make it uninteresting to them. There's also a product called Bitter Apple you can buy to spray on the area too.

maybe try this stuff.

This is the one I bought it's marketed for dogs, at least the spray bottles are, the cat one is like a little eye dripper bottle that isn't really good for coverage.

I had a budgie that did this and we ended up buying bitter apple spray that really did the trick.

Basically, it's a non-toxic bitter tasting spray that you put on your fingers. Budgie bites your skin, realises it tastes horrible and will never do it again. It took Toni two goes to realise biting wasn't nice which I think is still an achievement...

Go sportsball!

Bitter apple rocks because it'll keep Pepper from trying to ingest the couch. It can't be good for her tummy.

Thanks for the contest!
