He needs, yes. The Lee Challenger kit is around $99 on Amazon, and that has everything he'll need to get started except for: Bullets, Primers, Powder and Brass and DIES for 7.62x54r (another $30-$40)

Now, he'll want a digital scale, a case trimmer, and a tumbler to get his brass clean and pretty. That all can be added on, and most likely, be purchased in addition to the press kit for about $200.

The $20 amazon one is a 2-disc, with the 2nd disc having the original movie score on it, so thats cool.

I actually saw a vinyl copy the other day being sold in Barns n Noble. I would check there if you have one near you. Alternatively, you could always get it online.

That is just from some quick searches on Amazon and cover many different generes. Local stores (I live in Toronto) also have 2xLPs for cheaper than $40, in fact I would say $40+ is an exception rather than the rule.

Where are you shopping that $40+ is the rule?
