My son is 14 months old and he LOVES reading time. It's actually quite strange. We've been reading to him since he was born, and he'll go into his room, get a book out, and sit down and "read" through it all by himself.

Some of our favorites:

On the Night You Were Born My son will "dance" when the polar bear dancing page comes up...it's awesome
The Greedy Python or any other Eric Carle book, really
Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb or any other Al Perkins. Similar to Dr. Suess.
Horns to Toes and In Between or any other Susan Boynton.
